A young woman named Yulia uploaded to her Instagram and TikTok a video with a trick whose copyright belongs to her grandmother who used it in the 80s.
So what's grandma's trick to smelling good in the closet, you ask?
A spoiler for you in advance that the answer is not naphthalene.
Yulia revealed in the video: "I was at my grandmother's house and she put hard soap in her underwear drawer. I asked my grandmother why she put the soap there and she answered me, 'Honey, didn't you know? It's what keeps the laundry smelling good.'"

She went on to say: "It turns out that if you take a natural soap, for example this lavender-scented soap, and put it together with the clothes they will smell wonderful and it will last 15 to 20 years. I had no idea, but I tried it a few months ago and it's amazing. The clothes Mine smell amazing."

In another video that she uploaded, Yulia added that it is better to wrap the soap in paper and not in plastic so that its smell can transfer to the clothes.
"You can put the soap in the closet and drawers of the clothes and it will give them a great smell that will last a long time," she added.
Yulia's video has garnered over half a million views and hundreds of comments from people who have tried the trick while some have revealed that they have been doing it for years.
