The impeachment commission of Deputies began this Thursday with the treatment of more than
a dozen requests for prosecution against the Supreme Court
, which is part of the onslaught that the Government launched against the Judiciary and which promises high-voltage days in the Congress.
As planned, the ruling party met a quorum with its 16 representatives,
including the Massistas Micaela Morán and Ramiro Gutiérrez
.
Then the representatives of Juntos por el Cambio and Alejandro "Topo" Rodríguez, the representative of federal Peronism in the commission, entered.
Myriam Bregman and Nicolás del Caño, both from the Left Front, were also observers.
It all seemed that it was going to be a formality of reading the files and defining dates.
But when
Carolina Gaillard
, the president of the commission, opened the debate after 11 o'clock, with the reading of the requests for impeachment against Horacio Rosatti -president of the highest court- Carlos Rosenkrantz, Juan Carlos Maqueda and Ricardo Lorenzetti, it seemed like the
bell start of a long fight
.
Moving forward, the combat already has another two more chapters scheduled:
on
February 2
, when the members of the commission will receive the authors of the projects (several of them ultra K), and on
February 9
, when the admissibility report will be analyzed to see if, with the evidence presented, it is feasible to move forward with the process.
In the first round of this Thursday,
Juan Manuel López
, from the Civic Coalition, gave the first blow, asking that the guests invited by the opposition be taken into account.
He then specified that among those cited by JxC will be the ministers
Sergio Massa and Eduardo "Wado" de Pedro
.
They seek to entangle them for having participated in the negotiation process prior to the ruling for the Buenos Aires co-participation, one of the sensitive points of the trial.
And, in the case of the Minister of Economy, for endorsing a proposal to pay with bonds, which implied a way of complying with the judicial decision.
Germán Martínez, head of the pro-government bloc, sought to close the door to the discussion and responded that the commission "depends on the testing stage" and
the guests will be defined "in a second stage, once the proceedings are opened
. "
Martínez also rejected the possibility of forming a subcommittee to determine the admissibility of the files, as proposed by Larretista Alvaro González (PRO).
It is clear that
the ruling party defines the conditions since it has the necessary number to sign the opinion
, although it has almost no possibility of advancing on the premises, because it does not have the two-thirds majority that is required to approve it.
hot crosses
The discussion began to heat up more when
Omar De Marchi (PRO)
blamed Alberto Fernández for the advance of the ruling party against the Judiciary.
"This staging offered by the President, who is the main promoter of this circus that they put on daily, has several objectives: not to talk about the important problems of the country and the government's agenda of intervening, meddling and manipulating justice in Argentina," he said.
"Do you think that this Judicial Power is going to respond to you at some point?"
retorted the camper Marisa Uceda
from the sidewalk across the street.
"It's the other way around, don't be employees of a dark power," she completed.
"We have not come to set up any circus," Martínez tried to appease.
It was precisely in this section of the debate that the head of the pro-government caucus said that the opening of the Impeachment Committee, which last year only met to be constituted, is motivated by "the crisis that Argentine Justice is experiencing."
And he deepened that the prosecution requests are not only focused on the poor performance of the judges but also
"in some cases there is clear political persecution
. "
The statement is closely related to the ruling that convicted Cristina Kirchner of corruption in public works and at the same time disqualified her from holding public office, something that seems to have been diluted and that Kirchnerism wants to reinstate.
Predictable: from Juntos they came out to answer him.
Graciela Ocaña
accused the ruling party of wanting to "take over one of the most important institutions of the republic" with the aim of giving her "impunity for the vice president."
With that round trip, with chicanes and bill passes, the more than three hours of meeting took place.
The federal Peronist
Alejandro "Topo" Rodríguez
took advantage of the commission stage to respond to the ultra K
Rodolfo Tailhade
, who in an interview with C5N had accused the lavagnista of
"doing politics with fear"
for not accompanying the attack against the Court.
This Thursday, the deputies were face to face and the president of the Federal interblock replied:
"I am telling you Tailhade, that you said that I do politics with fear. I am not afraid of any media nor am I afraid of you , Tailhade"
.

Clarín
, who was located just behind the pro-government deputy, saw how he was dislocated.
"El Topo already provoked me. It's an interview from a month ago, but he didn't even mention the media," Tailhade came to say in the ear of Eduardo Valdés, located to his right.
Tailhade, one of Cristina Kirchner's main operators in the judicial and intelligence services spheres, avoided speaking during the debate.
According to him, they were "waiting for" him.
Alejandro Finocchiaro
(JxC) had a spicy message that made the entire ruling party jump: "With the Executive Power in your hands, with Congress paralyzed by yourselves and with the Justice delegitimized, Kirchnerism would be in a position to become the autocracy that They always dreamed."
One of the most exalted was
Juan Manuel Pedrini
, who called Finocchiaro "torratory" and mentioned that he had been a victim of espionage during the macrismo.
Another deputy, under his breath, stammered:
"Who was not spied
on . "
Attention was focused on the end with the message from
Vanesa Siley
, although the deputy and leader of the judicial union only celebrated that the political debate had been opened and her speech ended up being diluted after the intervention of
Mario Negri
, whom I accuse from "machirulo".
To close, there was the striking definition of Germán Martínez.
He assured that "there is no attempt to move against anything" and denied that the offensive against justice has to do with the electoral campaign, although the promoters of the request for impeachment have already anticipated that the process
will last several months
.
From Juntos, Negri lowered expectations of the ruling party's plans and pointed out that the causes of the prosecution are
"inconsistent and untidy"
.
It is that among the more than 400 pages of the request presented by the FdT block, with the President's handwriting, there are files that have not resolved the root cause, such as the issue of co-participation.
After the first hot day, now the spotlights are mainly on Thursday the 9th, when the "admissibility" of the trial should be approved and a slightly firmer step taken than the statements.
