Drop in temperatures, weak winds… The information threshold for fine particles PM10 should be exceeded this Thursday, alert Airparif, the air quality observatory in Île-de-France.
"Dispersion conditions are further deteriorating, in particular due to a very weak wind and colder temperatures", indicates the organization on Wednesday.
The "air quality will be poor in the north of the region", specifies Airparif, a consequence of an accumulation of particles emitted by traffic and residential heating.

In a press release, the Paris police headquarters confirms the establishment of an information and recommendation system for the entire Ile-de-France territory.
Among the instructions to be applied, Laurent Nuñez, Prefect of Police, calls in particular "if possible" to "defer road travel", to "preferably use the least polluting vehicles" and "use the facilities put in place within the establishments professionals", including telecommuting.
The authorities also invite to “favor carpooling, public transport networks and active modes of travel (walking, cycling, etc.)”.
The speed will be reduced by 20 km/h on the sections of motorways and expressways, initially limited to 130, 110 or 90 km/h.
Ditto for national and departmental roads, limited to 90 or 80 km / h.
Heavy goods vehicles in transit whose total authorized laden weight exceeds 3.5 tonnes will have to bypass the Paris conurbation via the Ile-de-France ring road.
Finally, the prefecture calls for “controlling the temperature in buildings by limiting the use of heating”, and “avoiding the use of wood for individual heating”.
Free residential parking in Paris
As a result of this episode of pollution, the city of Paris has decided to make residential parking free throughout the day.

Depending on the evolution of the situation, the police headquarters may for its part take, in addition to these recommendations, “restrictive measures to reduce pollutant emissions”, we finally learn in the press release.
On June 18, this time due to the heat and a high level of ozone in the air, differentiated traffic was put in place within the perimeter of the A86.
Only vehicles with a class 0, 1 and 2 Crit'Air sticker had been authorized to circulate.
