Fire in a residential building in Bish: 6 injured, a mother and her toddler son in a serious condition | Israel Hayom

Seven injured people, including a mother and her toddler son, with varying degrees of injury, were injured today (Wednesday) following a fire that broke out in a residential building in Be'er Sheva.

Five were injured by smoke inhalation, two of them in a serious condition.

A woman was seriously injured and is sedated and ventilated, while her one and a half year old son was also injured and remains unconscious.

Avinoam Yaakov, a medic and deputy head of the Ihud Hatzla branch in Be'er Sheva, said: "This is a mother and her son, about one and a half years old, who were rescued by the fire crews from their apartment where a fire broke out in a critical condition.

"With the help of an ambulance team from the Rescue Union, we gave them first aid and then they were taken to the Soroka Medical Center suffering from breathing problems due to smoke inhalation. We also gave assistance at the scene to four victims in moderate and light condition."
