An earthquake measuring 6 on the Richter scale struck the Iskenderun district, 52 km west of Idlib, and a depth of 21.2 km, at 20:4 minutes local time.
Dr. Raed Ahmed, Director General of the National Center for Earthquakes, confirmed in a statement to SANA today that the tremor is one of the aftershocks of the earthquake that occurred on the sixth of this month, which has not stopped since its occurrence until now.
The Director General of the National Center for Earthquakes suggested that these aftershocks will continue for a long time as a result of the great energy of the main earthquake, which led to the induction of all faults.
