The detention of the two young men suspected of committing an indecent act on two women in a hotel room in Eilat has been extended again by two days.

The two are suspected of having convinced the receptionist at a hotel in Eilat to get a key to a room that was not theirs, entered the room and committed indecent acts on the two women who were sleeping in the room.

The two women will arrive in Eilat tomorrow to collect evidence and then they will arrive at the hotel where they were stored to reenact in front of the police cameras.

The women who were interviewed by the media also claimed in their investigation that they had returned from a night out the night before when they were tired and went to sleep.

According to them, the two young men entered their room while they were sleeping in their bed and committed indecent acts in them.

One of them woke up and started screaming and the two young men, according to them, ran away from the room.

The two arrested young men admitted to entering the room, but denied committing the obscene act.

The judge of the Magistrate's Court in Eilat extended the detention of the two suspects by two additional days until 8/3/23 along with a gag order imposed on their names.

They are refining procedures in hotels in Eilat

The case provoked severe reactions in the hotel industry in Eilat and immediately after the publication, the hotels in the city began to refine the procedure for receiving the key for hotel guests.

One of the managers of a large hotel in Eilat told "Israel Hayom" that the hotel has an identification method procedure for anyone who requests a room key and at the same time the hotel management will refine the procedures.

At another hotel, the employees said that it is quite common for the reception to give a replacement key to someone who has lost or forgotten it, without asking for identification.

S., a resident of Eilat who was recently on vacation at a hotel in the Dead Sea, said that she went to the reception, said the room number and her name and asked for a replacement key after she forgot hers in the pool.

The receptionist gave her a new key without hesitation and without asking for identification.
