What is the college level?
In order to answer this question more precisely, the Department of Evaluation, Foresight and Performance (Depp) is publishing the college added value indices (Ivac) for the first time.
Until then, only high school indicators (Ival) were communicated by this service of the Ministry of National Education.

It allows us to offer this 2023 list of the 30 best public colleges and the 30 best private colleges in France.
In this ranking established by
Le Figaro
, the place of each college was calculated according to the average of the students of the establishment in the written tests of the patent, before these were "harmonised".
A size precision when you know that the final marks of the candidates are raised each year by the jury.
This shows in passing that this average is not that high.
In order to decide between the tied establishments, we used the added value of the average obtained in the writings of the patent.
This data is calculated by taking the difference between the figure obtained and that which was expected, taking into account the socio-economic profile of the candidates.
"This makes it possible to control external factors and to report on what the establishment has really brought to the student"
, explains Fabienne Rosenwald.
