The boom in waterless cosmetics is solid

DECRYPTION - Driven by the success of solid shampoos, anhydrous beauty products appeal with undiluted formulas that highlight the benefits of their ingredients and at the same time limit the carbon footprint.


We already knew about solid shampoos and conditioners, stick deodorants and poultice-like clay powders... From now on, we will have to rely on solid cleansing milks (Eclo) and cleansing powders responsible for restoring radiance to the complexion ( Yodi), on funny shaving bars (Beauty Disrupted) and even on a strangely dry sheet mask that nevertheless deeply hydrates (Charlotte Tilbury).

While we were celebrating World Water Day on March 22, which was an opportunity to recall that by 2050 at least, one person in four will be likely to live in a country affected by chronic water shortages or frequent, some cosmetic brands are now obliged to develop anhydrous formulas.

This market should even experience an annual growth rate of 13.3% until 2031, according to a study by the firm Future Market Insights.
