Dachau – In an accident in February, a bollard on the Schlossberg was so badly damaged that it had to be replaced.
The city is trying to find a replacement - and camera surveillance.
Accidents happen again and again at the bollard system on the Schlossberg.
The city has consistently said that the in-ground road barrier would be damaged by motorists attempting to outsmart the system.
Motorists, on the other hand, claim that the bollards got out of control and damaged their vehicles.
As reported several times, both sides meet regularly in court.
So far, the city has always been right with its arguments.

What the city has so far been unsuccessful with is the attempt to have the bollard system on the Schlossberg monitored by video cameras.
According to the city administration, a corresponding application has been made to the state data protection officer several times.

The judge asked why there is no video surveillance
In view of the fact that another accident happened on February 18 and the bang against one of the two bollards was so severe that the system had to be taken out of service with severe damage, the city now wants to try again.
Especially since she recently found support at the Munich district court.
When trying to clarify why the BMW of a 26-year-old from Munich had been damaged by the locking system, the judge asked: "Why is there no video surveillance there?
That would solve all problems!”
New bollard has to be ordered first
In front of a camera, however, the city must first order a new bollard.
The old one was so badly damaged in the accident in February that it can no longer be used.
