A 35-year-old woman was shot in the back after resisting a robbery by two motorcycles in the Villa Soldati neighborhood, south of the City of Buenos Aires.
The event occurred after 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, when the Police were alerted to the presence of an injured woman, lying face down, on Mariano Acosta Street at 2900, in the Fátima neighborhood (former villa 3).
In this context, a SAME ambulance arrived at the scene, which certified that the woman, identified as
Lurdes Avendaño Rejas (35)
, had lost her life as a result of a firearm shot.
According to the investigators, the victim had a gunshot wound in the dorsal region, which did not present an exit wound.
In turn, investigators found at the crime scene
a scabbard served from a .38 caliber weapon.
Regarding the dynamics of the event, witnesses indicated that Avendaño, who was a Bolivian national, was approached on the street by two men who were traveling aboard a white enduro-type motorcycle with the aim of stealing her wallet.
Faced with this situation, the woman tried to flee and ran away, but the assailants shot her in the back, according to a neighbor told the police officers.
The Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor's Office No. 6, in charge of Eduardo Cubría, intervened, who labeled the investigation as "
homicide on the occasion of robbery
."
