Fame can have its pitfalls: As Pur singer Hartmut Engler has now revealed, the band's fans even ask him for photos on the toilet.

Bietigheim-Bissingen - As a celebrity it is not always easy, because fame brings with it its inconveniences here and there: Whoever is famous must always expect to be recognized in public - a circumstance that pur- Singer Hartmut Engler (61) is regularly confronted.

And sometimes in uncomfortable situations, as he revealed in the podcast by Barbara Schöneberger (49).

Curious situation for Hartmut Engler: Pur singers asked for a selfie on the toilet

In her "With the waffles of a woman" podcast series, Barbara Schöneberger regularly elicits exciting details from her prominent guests.

So does Hartmut Engler: The “Do you understand fun?” presenter described the 61-year-old pop musician as various scenarios in which he was approached by fans and wanted to know how he would react: “You’re going to ask for one on the toilet Selfie asked – everything happened already, right?”

And indeed: Even in the quiet place, the Pur singer was not allowed to rest.

"However, I asked that I be allowed to shake off in peace," said the native Swabian.

"And that takes a while with you," the hostess joked with a laugh - a cheeky comment to which the 61-year-old smiled "I won't say anything!"

Hartmut Engler has spoken and sung in films

Hartmut Engler not only had a number of successes as the frontman of the hit and pop group Pur, he even made it onto the big screen – at least vocally: in the animated film “The Fearless Four” (1997) he took over the vocal parts of Buster, the dog.

A year later he was heard singing the voice of the blind recluse Garrett in The Magic Sword: The Legend of Camelot.

In "Spirit - The Wild Mustang" (2002) he sang the lyrics of the title hero, who lends his (singing) voice to the original pop star Bryan Adams.

Pur superstar Hartmut Engler wants his peace while eating: "I don't like that!"

But Hartmut Engler is also not immune to other, sometimes strange, sometimes disturbing fan encounters: He is often approached in restaurants, for example, and not only asked for selfies, but sometimes also for personal birthday or wedding anniversary congratulations.

When eating, however, he finds such questions – understandably – extremely annoying.

"While the spaghetti sauce could splatter on the white shirt, I don't like it!" says the Pur frontman.

"Shortly afterwards" he would be happy to comply with the wishes.
