The design is unusual and breathes the Golan: from the Greek stone that covers the exterior walls to details of wooden furniture from Indonesia, and all against the backdrop of the spectacular view of the Sea of Galilee

Judith Schneider, owner of an architecture and interior design studio

Judit Schneider, owner of an architecture and interior design studio, carried out this project in a record time of one month.

The owners of the hotel built in Moshav Givat Yoav in the Golan Heights wanted to open it for hospitality last summer and asked her to meet the tight schedule, but not compromise on the design.

"I received a very standard design of simple cubes, with an imprecise interior division and ignoring the landscape and nature in the place. The clients gave me a free hand, they only asked for two things - that I make the place special and that I meet a very short schedule. My goal was to make the place amazing while Respect for the environment and the use of materials from nature."

Schneider says that within two weeks she gave the customers simulations and set off."

The six villas look identical from the outside, in each 5-suite villa, each of which is characterized by a slightly different design, but with recurring motifs such as exterior wall coverings made of a Greek stone called Rangan Diaz amorphous, which was chosen to infuse the buildings with an authentic rural character and interest.

The same stone also covers the power wall in each suite.

The flooring in the canopy suites is fishbone parquet.

Lighting fixtures made of wood, straw and iron decorate the ceiling that was left as bare concrete.

The openings were designed in Bauhaus model black aluminum in order to allow subtle divisions and designed with a fine minimalist grid.

In order to maximize the area of each suite and to suit vacation purposes, Schneider changed the internal division of the villas and created spacious, pampering and inviting villas.

"The palette of colors and materials is in earth tones - mustard, orange and beige. The idea was to use natural materials such as stone, solid wood, iron and straw that are suitable for the nature of the area. The beds and sofas in each suite were custom ordered from Sky fabrics in earth tones. The iron is also repeated in the wardrobe which is placed in each suite and is made to order, both in the bathrooms as a fixture on which the marble rests and in the window profile. To create a pleasant feeling of softness, I chose white linen curtains," explains the designer.

The bathrooms were designed so that the upper and lower parts are made of transparent glass that gives a feeling of lightness and continuity, and the areas that require maximum privacy are bordered with opaque frosted glass.

Each villa is equipped to the last detail.

The public space includes a kitchen, a dining table and a sitting area.

The color chosen for the kitchen is 'cobalt blue' which corresponds with the blue Kinneret with a gray marble covering which corresponds with the shades of the floor - a basalt floor, which also continues outside - in front of the kitchen is a butcher's table surrounded by benches and above it a light fixture in combination with wood and coal lamps with light fixtures with visible cables.

Next to the table were placed two wooden stands that originate from Indonesia and give interest in the space.

The sofa chosen for the sitting area was custom made in shades of earth and behind it a huge stone wall.

Two mustard-colored armchairs and straw lamps complete the design line of natural materials.

To complete the luxury vacation experience, a huge infinity pool was built in each villa complex, which blends with the reflection of the Sea of Galilee and creates the appearance of an endless horizon.

A deck and large stone-colored sunbeds were placed around the pool, giving vacationers a particularly pampering experience.

"Outside there are many sitting areas, large umbrellas, a deck amp and a barbecue area with iron tables on which a stone is placed. Everything you need to provide a luxurious and pleasant vacation experience," concludes Schneider.
