Several people fled during a customs check in a restaurant in Erding.
It could have been black workers.
ERding - A man hid on the roof of the restaurant.
A spokesman for the main customs office in Landshut explained to our newspaper that the restaurant on Münchener Straße had been checked on Thursday afternoon without any suspicion.
"The two colleagues from the financial control undeclared work encountered an unexpectedly high number of suspected helpers there." Two were checked.
"The squad then noticed that several people were running away.
For reasons of proportionality, however, we did not pursue them and did not make any major action out of it.” Witnesses alerted the police about the man on the roof.
But when a patrol from the Erdinger police arrived, he had already disappeared.
Customs investigations are ongoing.
