Darmanin reminds the police of the compulsory wearing of their identification number

in a telegram dated Friday and consulted Monday by the AFP.

In this letter addressed to the prefects and the directors of the police and the gendarmerie, the Minister of the Interior underlines by hand twice the acronym "RIO" (repository of identities and organization), to better recall its port mandatory since 2014, making it possible to identify a civil servant, in particular in the event of violence.
