A hand extended to the opposition, in a context strained by the recent pension reform.

The Minister of the Economy Bruno Le Maire on Tuesday invited opposition deputies and senators to "

complete

" his green industry bill.

With this bill which must be presented in mid-May in the Council of Ministers, "

we want to defend, protect and strengthen our industry

", affirmed the number two of the executive during questions to the government in the National Assembly.

"

We want to do it with you, so I have invited all the parliamentary groups to come and propose and complete the green industry bill in the coming days

", continued Bruno Le Maire.

We will be very open to all proposals, from any group, to strengthen our bill in the spirit of dialogue that has always been ours

The first "

consultations

" on the minister's official agenda are scheduled for Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. with the socialist group.

He will be succeeded at Bercy by the group of RDSE senators at 5:30 p.m. and Les Indépendants an hour later.

Bruno Le Maire must then consult the environmental deputies Thursday at 8:15 a.m., those of the National Rally at 10:45 a.m. and those of the Liot group at 11:45 a.m.

No meeting with the deputies of La France insoumise or the Republicans, two of the main opposition groups in the Assembly, is currently on the agenda.

Announced in January, the green industry bill is one of the government's priorities.

It appears on the roadmap presented at the end of April by Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne to relaunch Emmanuel Macron's five-year term, hampered by the pension reform which still causes strong social and political tensions.

Facing the deputies, Bruno Le Maire recalled the five axes of the text: strengthening tax support for green industry, mobilization of public procurement, reduction of factory opening times, financing and training in green industry professions. .
