There was much applause at his farewell concert for Heinrich Klug in the sold-out Bosco.

The children's concerts continue in a new format.

Gauting

- "Because I've lived in Buchendorf for 50 years, there are the children's concerts," explained the former Munich Philharmonic and talent promoter Heinrich Klug at the acclaimed farewell performance "The Four Seasons" on Sunday afternoon in the fully booked Bosco Hall.

With the violin virtuosos Julia Fischer and Lena Neudauer, who grew up in Gauting, the children's symphonists, perfectly rehearsed by Johannes X. Schachtner, managed a bravura piece.

The young soprano Serafina Starke shone in the double role of the composer Antonio Vivaldi and his “Primadonna assoluta”.

"Winter is over, the beautiful May is coming": Right at the start of the concert, Maestro Heinrich Klug encouraged the approximately 250 audience members from three generations to sing along.

Klug humorously led through the imaginative, child-friendly performance with young dancers from the ballet ensemble of the Gilching Music School.

Julia Fischer and Lena Neudauer, who celebrated their first successes as children in the "seasons concert", played the well-known violin solos perfectly and grippingly.

Elena Schönlebe (violin) and double bass player Mariclara Ruiz Neudauer (14), multiple youth music award winner, are already playing in the children's symphony orchestra founded in 2019, revealed talent promoter Klug.

The young string players, with Schachtner on the harpsichord, intoned the lively Allegro in one piece.

Serafina Starke entered the stage in a night-blue crinoline dress.

With her richly colored, carrying voice, the 23-year-old soprano presented the aria from Vivaldi's opera "Tito Manilo" brightly and powerfully.

Sustained applause followed.

With Serafina Starke in the double role of the composer Vivaldi and his “prima donna assoluta” Anna Giro, the string concerto culminated in “Summer” with the touching interpreter Lena Neudauer.

Julia Fischer takes over management

With the pounding of the audience, the children's orchestra with the Munich Philharmonic Wolfgang Berg (viola) and Manuel von Nahmer (cello) conveyed the drama of constant summer rain.

Three dancers in black costumes do pirouettes.

"Let's go to the harvest festival now and we'll drink good wine," chanted the audience in the second part of the concert "Autumn" with Julia Fischer and dancers as stumbling farmers.

Serafina Starke performed the aria “Anche il mar…” from the Verdi opera “Bajazet” magnificently.

A bare tree dominates the stage design: In the elegiac interpretation of “Winter” raindrops can be heard, which knock on the window as pizzicati from the strings.

This was followed by sustained applause, enthusiastic footsteps and special applause for Heinrich Klug.

His children's concerts will continue in a new format: Under the artistic direction of Julia Fischer, the children's symphony orchestra will perform Robert Schumann's "Album for the Young" in 2024.

Heinrich Klug (88) thanked the violin virtuoso for this with a warm hug.
