"Massa is a very good candidate for President," says Andrés Rodríguez

Carlos Acuna.

Sergio Massa, Gerardo Martínez, Roberto Lavagna and Andrés Rodríguez, at the dinner this Wednesday organized by the UOCRA in Parque Norte.

The deputy general secretary of the CGT, Andrés Rodríguez (UPCN), considered that the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, "is a very good candidate for President? for the Frente de Todos (FdT) and also maintained that "Peronism is competitive " in view of the open, simultaneous and mandatory primary elections (PASO) next Sunday, August 13.

"There are many of us who see Massa as a possible candidate, very drinkable because he has political ability and has a long history. He has not yet been defined organically by the Party (Justicialista) or by the CGT, but personally, Massa He is my candidate," Rodríguez pointed out in statements to El Destape Radio.

With respect to the electoral definitions, the trade unionist estimated that the FdT "must generate a whole current that aims at unity and define an electoral strategy to have possibilities of presenting a strong competition" facing the next elections.

Andrés Rodríguez assures that the CGT supports Massa's economic management.

For Andrés Rodríguez, Peronism "is competitive", but he stated that "the situation must be defined as to whether there will be more than one list" or there will be a "single" list of applicants who will represent the ruling coalition in the PASO.

It is expected that during the CGT act, the workers' union will urge the political, union and business leadership to reach "a great political, economic and social consensus".

Massa was invited to this event, who will not attend because he is traveling with President Alberto Fernández to meet with the President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

From the environment of the leader of the Renovation Front, they assured Télam that Massa will send a letter in response to the CGT's invitation.

Rodríguez announced that "there is also support" from the CGT for Massa's management at the head of the Ministry of Economy because "undoubtedly, there is an effort to try to get ahead."

"Massa took over the economy at a very special moment. There was a lot of uncertainty and he managed the situation with political skill. There are certain variables that improved with his management, but others still could not be stabilized," he said.

Regarding the labor reform projects promoted by the opposition, Rodríguez maintained that "the modernization of the negotiations is something that is already present in the collective labor agreements."

"This is a practice that has been carried out for many years. There are activities that have been adjusting their agreement to the reality of the changes in production. We do not want any labor reform because whenever it was announced it was to remove rights," he concluded.

Elections 2023: a new survey has already measured the last three candidates who ran for president

Less than two months after the closing of the lists, the polls are adding new candidates to their electoral studies.

Photo Efe,

The displacement of Mauricio Macri, Alberto Fernández and Cristina Kirchner (at least until now) from the presidential fight ahead of the 2023 elections left open scenarios on both sides of the rift.

These are the two leaders of the coalitions and the current president, who in an almost unprecedented event for Argentine democracy will not seek an encore despite being empowered.

This boosted the aspirations of different leaders in the Frente de Todos y Juntos por el Cambio.

And the surveys come out to evaluate them almost minute by minute.

Horacio Rodríguez Larreta's proposal to cut with the intermediation of social plans

The head of the Buenos Aires Government, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta.

Photo: Capture

In campaign mode, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta announced this Tuesday the tightening of the requirements to access social plans in the City.

"Porteña Citizenship, which is the City's assistance plan, goes directly from the State to the beneficiary. We do not have intermediaries. And we also include some considerations, such as sending the children to school. But we are going to do more. Today we want to present a new measure to limit the temporality of the plan, so that it is an aid in an emergency, but that it never discourages the search and getting a job, "he said in an act.

And he explained: “That is why we are adding two new conditions to the plans: the first, training to get a job.

We are going to offer training courses aimed at the current and specific demands of the world of work and this training is going to be mandatory.

They have to complete, at least, 40 decapcatiation hours per year.

Whoever does not comply, loses the program.

In addition, the Government will provide "the beneficiaries with offers related to their interests, their knowledge and the course they have taken. For this reason, going to the interviews and accepting the jobs will be mandatory. If there are more than two absences without justification for job interviews or if more than two offers are rejected, they lose the program. It's the other way around today."

The PRO divides again: now, for the presidential candidacy of José Luis Espert

The family photo that was released with Mauricio Macri, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, Patricia Bullrich, María Eugenia Vidal, Diego Santilli, Cristian Ritondo, Federico Angelini and Fernando de Andreis, calmed the waters but did not eliminate the crack in the PRO.

The entry of José Luis Espert to Juntos por el Cambio with his Avanza Libertad space revitalized those differences, which may now be less high-sounding, but which persist.

Although Espert launched his candidacy to succeed Axel Kicillof in November, in February he had a meeting with JvC leaders to tell them that he was willing to compete at the national level.

And this Monday he assured Radio Miter that "what I prefer is to be a candidate for president."

The CGT closes ranks with Massa, but endorses Cristina's strategy and hits Javier Milei

A deeply critical description of the economic and social reality, the urgent demand to review the agreement with the IMF and evident signs of support for Sergio Massa's presidential project make up the main guidelines of the message that the CGT will brandish this Tuesday in its own staging for Labor Day.

All this but with an important novelty: it will also endorse the electoral strategy inaugurated a few days ago by Cristina Kirchner to focus its heaviest political artillery against the figure of the libertarian Javier Milei.

A striking gesture in a central where sympathies for the vice president are far from expressing the majority of the union leadership.
