Although it is expected that in the
PJ Congress
on May 16 the panorama will begin to clear up, in the Frente de Todos, each sign that Cristina
Kirchner
gives changes the internal climate and forces a recalculation of the road map of those who intend to succeed Alberto Fernandez.
In the last few hours, a message
emerged from the Senate
that, despite not having reverberated with the intensity that was sought, implies a key definition for the FdT unit: ultra-Christian senator
Oscar Parrilli,
right-hand man of the vice president and in the Most of the time, spokesperson for what she does not want -or cannot- explain, she came out to clarify on Tuesday that "
no one is going to prevent a STEP in the Front of All
", something that various sectors of the ruling party have been demanding.
The phrase, as confided to
Clarín
by two other leaders who are in dialogue with Cristina, "represents her perspective" and "her desire that
no one feel excluded from the Front
."
"Clearly not at any price, but Cristina is the first defender of unity," reaffirms one of them, at a time when the ruling party is crossed by internal crusades.
Senator Oscar Parrilli is usually the spokesperson for what the vice president does not want to make explicit in public.
“It is what we have been saying since before Alberto got off.
There must be STEP, they are necessary so that unity is not broken
”, explains an official who considers a
meeting “between the three”
main referents (The President, the vice president and
Sergio Massa
) “necessary” so that the Congress of the PJ with an advanced deal.
“So far the only ones who want a unity candidate are the kids (for Máximo Kirchner and the leadership of La Cámpora), but in this context it is impossible.
Cristina's finger does not go down to the (eight) candidates, so they have to sit down and order it, ”she adds.
However, in the increasingly numerous terminals of (mini) power of the FdT, Parrilli's statements were interpreted according to his own interests.
The discussion for the government program
For example, among those who actively work for there to be candidacies and unit lists at all levels, they maintain that the "
fine print" of what Parrilli said
is Cristina's true strategy.
They emphasize that he warned that "first you have to
discuss the program
and the model of democracy and society that you want to build", which contemplates the possibility that Cristina defines herself as one of the pre-candidates.
And in this line, they review that a week ago Parrilli had also been lapidary "with those who want to cut themselves" and compete.
What had the Neuquén said?
“The PASOs do not depend on the will of a leader who says, 'ah, I want PASO.'
Yes, you can want to, but if you don't have people accompanying you, you don't have political authority, militancy and people, it may be an opinion but it doesn't go beyond that, ”he questioned.
The allusion has to do with
the rules that will be established for an eventual STEP
and that must come out of the PJ Congress.
It transcends the request for a "Coexistence Pact" made by several leaders, including the Chief of Staff, Agustín Rossi, to avoid disqualifications and grievances in the political debate.
Parrilli slipped - without mentioning it - that the key is in the electoral floor that will be raised for access to the lists of legislators: there
is no possibility of sustaining a presidential candidacy without resources
.
And that is accentuated more if there are no leaders willing to contribute to the diagram of a national structure, an obvious thing in politics when
the floor to enter the distribution of positions in the lists
by the D'Hont system is high: the minority sectors of the FdT seek, for example, to be around 15 percent.
The Ks threaten to
set it at around 25%
and play with the fact that a photo of Cristina with the “official” candidate can destroy any personal adventure.
"If they put a high floor to compete, the Front is broken, because
there are not so many places to put together a single list for Deputies and Senators
," anticipates a PJ historian who says in private the opposite of what his sector raises in public.
The movements of Massa and Wado
The context is worth it: those who proclaim a single presidential formula are mostly those who support
Massa's candidacy
.
And the same ones that spread in political conversations that the Minister of Economy is the one chosen by Cristina.
However, they are not unaware that Massa finds some resistance in the more left-wing sectors of the coalition and the historic bid that he maintains with Daniel Scioli, another of the pre-candidates and leveraged by a sector of the Government.
Minister Wado de Pedro remains enthusiastic about becoming Cristina's candidate.
Perhaps for this reason, in his last speech, Parrilli left the door open to everyone and urged "not to rule anyone out."
“All the members of the Frente de Todos, not only those of the Justicialist Party, but also those of the Frente Renovador and those of the social movements.
Massa, (Juan) Grabois, Scioli and Wado (de Pedro) are good candidates, ”he assured.
The latter, unconditional of Cristina, gets tired of repeating that he
will do “whatever she says”
.
For now, his movements have regained momentum in recent days: this Wednesday he showed himself with about twenty FdT senators, in a postcard that had the management as an excuse (the presentation of the "Federal Development Plan") but that had the Christina stamp.
Nothing that happens in the K universe of the Upper House happens without the endorsement of the vice president.
The
Minister of the Interior
seeks to position himself as a "pure" option for Cristina in the event that Buenos Aires Governor Axel Kicillof manages to resist Máximo Kirchner's request to compete at the national level and that Massa desists from being a candidate in case there is a STEP.
