Let them be reassured: the coronation of Charles III will not prevent them from singing
"Au thirty-one of the month of August"
at the end of the banquets: but perhaps it will allow them to correct the lyrics and to think, just before emptying their second glass, that they should also be thanking him.
Thank him for reminding us of the crucial importance and, dare we say it, the absolute urgency of the long term at a time when everything is going crazy.
The institution now embodied by King Charles III has in fact the main interest, and the major characteristic, of being long-term: situated in the present and considering the future, it does not hesitate to look to the past, since the monarch, who in principle is called upon to be the father of his successors...
