The shooter who killed eight people and wounded half a dozen at a shopping center near Dallas was identified Sunday as
33-year-old Mauricio Garcia,
two law enforcement sources told NBC News.
A police officer at the Allen Premium Outlets, about 25 miles north of Dallas, killed the shooter on Saturday after the mass shooting also injured seven, including three in serious condition.

Garcia was wearing a tactical bulletproof vest and was armed with a rifle and a pistol
, one of the sources said.
More weapons and ammunition were found in his car, the source added.
Saturday's attack
was the second deadliest massacre in the United States this year
and also the second in Texas in just over a week.
