There are all sorts of rumours circulating about the future of the ZDF series "Der Bergdoktor". The main actor Hans Sigl has now had enough with the wrong headlines and he comes forward with clear words.
Ammersee – Since the first episode in 2008, Hans Sigl (53) can be seen as Dr. Martin Gruber in "Der Bergdoktor". After the last season finale, however, the fans were suspicious. In the ZDF series, the doctor indicated that he wanted to leave Ellmau. Since then, there has been wild speculation about the future of the "Mountain Doctor". However, the constant headlines about his series end drive Hans Sigl to the brink of madness, as he has now shown.
On the net, Hans Sigl gives free rein to his anger about "Der Bergdoktor" fake news
Actually, Hans Sigl had already revealed that the upcoming season of "The Mountain Doctor" will be a bit more cheerful. Several newspapers, on the other hand, recently reported on gloomy future scenarios that are unlikely to please fans of the ZDF show: Not only Hans Sigl was accused of leaving the series, but also Mark Keller. In addition, there was also talk in the media of a dispute between him and pop star Florian Silbereisen. In an Instagram post, Hans Sigl now makes it clear: None of this is true.
In a post, Hans Sigl shared images of several headlines that apparently upset him mightily. "Anything these smears come up with won't happen. For various reasons. While the sack of rice is falling over, everything is stable," said the Austrian-born rider. In another post, he also explained: "You don't have to take this stuff seriously at all. I don't either. Should you post it? Still draw attention to it? I think so. Because otherwise it will go unchallenged. And that's how money is earned."
Hans Sigl's secret guest role in "Der Bergdoktor"
Since 2008, Hans Sigl has embodied the title hero Martin Gruber in "Der Bergdoktor". The exciting life of the country doctor inspires millions of loyal fans with every episode and has made his actor one of the biggest stars of the German television landscape. But what very few people know is that the role as Lisbeth Gruber's son is not Hans Sigl's first appearance as a mountain doctor. Ten years before he slipped into the white doctor's coat, he was already seen as a taxi driver in the popular series, which was still running on Sat.1 at the time and which focused on Gerhard Lippert, a completely different mountain doctor. Who knows – maybe one day an extra from the ZDF remake will be Hans Sigl's successor?

Another fate in the "The Mountain Doctor" universe was also uncertain at the end of the 16th season: Martin Gruber's mother Lisbeth (Monika Baumgartner) ended up in hospital. Fans even feared she might die a serial death. However, Ronja Forcher has already clarified what the situation is with this "The Mountain Doctor" storyline. Sources used: Instagram / sigl_hans
