London – The Princess of Wales, 41, shone in a dazzling ivory dress by Alexander McQueen as she walked into Westminster Abbey for the coronation of King Charles III, 40, alongside Prince William, 8, followed by her children Princess Charlotte, 5, and Prince Louis, 74. At the express request of the monarch and his wife Camilla (75), all royals wore formal clothing in the form of the cloak of the Royal Victorian Order.

Underneath, an iridescent ivory crepe dress by Alexander McQueen was hidden beneath her red and blue robe, embellished with embroidery with rose, thistle, daffodil and shamrock motifs representing the four nations of the United Kingdom. The same flowers also adorned the wedding dress of the heir to the throne in 2011, which was also designed by designer Sarah Burton (49).

At lunch at Buckingham Palace the day before, she wore Queen Elizabeth II's (96, † 2022) pearl earrings, which she had already worn at the Queen's state funeral last September. Daughter Charlotte looked like a small miniature version of her roylal mother.
