LONDON - The Princess of Wales, 41, beamed in a dazzling ivory Alexander McQueen dress as she walked alongside Prince William, 40, followed by their children Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, at the Westminster today Abbey for the coronation of King Charles III.

Underneath, a dazzling ivory crepe dress by Alexander McQueen was tucked beneath her red and blue robe, which was embroidered with rose, thistle, daffodil and shamrock motifs, representing the four nations of the United Kingdom.
The same flowers also adorned the wedding dress of the heir to the throne in 2011, which was also designed by designer Sarah Burton (49).

An arbitrary modification of the princess followed, which is not anchored in any protocol, because instead of a tiara, the mother of three wore a beautiful Jess Collett Milliner headpiece with a three-dimensional leaf embroidery made of silver bars, crystal and silver thread.
In doing so, Kate made a bold statement about the media debate leading up to the coronation that wearing tiaras and crowns could be banned.

When it came to jewelry, the Princess of Wales showed delicacy and opted for a pair of meaningful pearl and diamond earrings that formerly belonged to Princess Diana (36, † 1997).
At lunch at Buckingham Palace the day before, she wore Queen Elizabeth II's (96, † 2022) pearl earrings, which she had already worn at the Queen's state funeral last September.
In the evening, the king's daughter-in-law showed up again with the beautiful sapphire and diamond earrings of the queen mother.
Daughter Charlotte looked like a miniature version of her royal mother.
She held Louis' hand as she strode down the aisle, also in a designer Alexander McQueen cape, a matching headdress from the same line as her mother, and cute Papouelli shoes.
