Roger Waters in Argentina: how is the show "This is Not a Drill"?

The shows on the This Is Not a Drill tour were described as "one of the most engaging, imaginative and well-executed examples of stadium rock you will ever see," according to The Times.

It is presented as a highly conceptual show from beginning to end, where songs from Pink Floyd's emblematic albums (The Wall, Dark Side of the Moon, Animals and Wish You Were Here) converge with more recent songs from his solo career, including his most recent single, The Bar, released last year.

The track list includes 20 Pink Floyd songs such as Another Brick In The Wall part 2, Wish You Were Here, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Us & Them and Comfortably Numb.

The live performance is simply stunning. It includes gigantic projections that accompany several themes raised from the music, giving rise to a show faithful to the spirit behind the entire career of this musician, composer and lyricist who was always involved with the circumstances of his time.

Waters sings, plays guitar, bass and piano. He will be joined by Jonathan Wilson on guitar and vocals, Dave Kilminster on guitar and vocals, Jon Carin on keyboards, guitar and vocals, Gus Seyffert on bass and vocals, Robert Walter on keyboards, Joey Waronker on drums, Amanda Belair on vocals and Seamus Blake on sax.

It will be the last chance to see him in Argentina.

A true rock legend

Roger Waters is one of the few musicians who hold the title of true living legend. The co-founder of Pink Floyd, one of the most important rock bands of all time, who set the course of music with concept albums of enormous popularity, continues to be active today, with a fruitful solo career.

As it could not be otherwise, Waters had to go through these latitudes to say goodbye to his Argentine fans – one of the most loyal he has in the world – with whom he developed a close bond throughout his career.

Andthe place could not be other than the Monumental, where he gave 9 unforgettable recitals in 2012 as part of his world tour The Wall Live, which broke an absolute record of number of shows in River in a single visit for the history of the show in Argentina.

It took ten years for another artist to surpass it: Coldplay.

In addition, in 2007 he gave two shows in that same stadium with his tour Dark Side of the Moon. If it is about who did more shows in River in his career, with these two concerts Roger Waters is in first place with thirteen, passing the Rolling Stones, who made a total of 12 shows in River.
