Did Meghan Markle dress up for King Charles III's coronation?

London – Sir Karl Jenkins (79), a Welsh composer, attended the coronation ceremony in his unique look with shoulder-length grey hair, moustache and dark sunglasses. He had accepted the invitation of King Charles III (74), as his Welsh folk song was played during the ceremony. Together with fellow composer Andrew Lloyd Webber (75), he sat in innocence at Westminster Abbey on the day of the coronation as a happy guest among 2,000 hand-picked guests of the spectacular scenes.

"He will try 100 percent to steal the crown jewels"

Among the slick and groomed celebrities and dignitaries, Karl's quirky appearance apparently caught the eye of fans who watched the coronation via social media channels, according to the Mirror. And so it didn't take long for a viewer to point out that Sir Jenkins' style, with his mostly obscured face and long hair, looked "like disguised". A user then joked that it could be Meghan Markle (41), who will be there in costume.

Soon there was no stopping them, the fans got going. One Twitter user wrote, "I don't know much about the #Coronation, but I do know that this is obviously a disguise and he will try 100 percent to steal the Crown Jewels". Other funny tweets were not long in coming, perhaps he was also the disguised ex-wife of Prince Andrew (62), Sarah Ferguson (63): "It's Fergie" was speculated cheerfully. The next user was sure: "It's Trump".

Why Meghan Markle and Sarah Ferguson became "victims" of fan comments

Quite a few users are of the opinion that Jenkins stole the show from the king. The joke referred to the fact that the Duchess of Sussex had announced in the run-up to her cancellation of the coronation that she wanted to give the king the attention he deserved with her appearance, her appearance would attract everyone's attention. Sarah Ferguson, on the other hand, had explained in the press why she, as the divorced wife of the king's brother, had not received an invitation. Both were apparently trusted, they would have liked to have participated, at least secretly.

To everyone's great surprise, Sir Karl Jenkins takes a giggling position on the comments

What no one expected: Composer Karl Jenkins surprisingly spoke up himself - and revealed more about his style in the venerable abbey at the historic occasion in a sweet Tik Tok video: "I was quite surprised that some people thought I was Meghan Markle in disguise," he says in the fan-celebrated clip. Jenkins continued, "Someone wrote I was there, whoever I was, to steal the Crown Jewels," he continues, sitting comfortably on his sofa.

Sir Jenkins, who was honoured with the knighthood in 2015, chuckles before adding: "I always look like this". He points to the tribute he received on the occasion of the royal tribute and explains: "I wore the medal you get when you are knighted," he continues, adding that he would have worn a tie and a jacket.

"Oh, and my mustache was mentioned in the Times – but I've had the mustache since I was 18 years old. It was very trendy at the time," he explains, showing a picture from the time. Then he concludes: "So that's me. There's nothing scary or even surprising about it." All information, pictures and updates on the coronation of Charles III can be found here in the live ticker.
