Alongside friends and family, the Rehovot Municipality held today (Monday) at the alternative cemetery in Givat Brenner the state funeral ceremony of the late Inge Abramian, who was killed in a rocket attack on a building in the city that was bombed in Operation Shield and Arrow.
Family, relatives and friends attended Abramian's funeral, as did Diaspora Minister Amichai Shikli, who served as a representative of the government.
First, Aya, Inge's granddaughter, spoke about her loving grandmother on holidays, birthdays and every day of the year. Afterwards, Avraham, Inge's grandson, spoke about the family's feelings of shock at the terrible loss.

Mayor Rahamim Malul spoke and comforted the family: "We were all shocked by the sight of the brutal destruction, but more shocked by the tragic outcome that Inge is no longer with us. I didn't get to know you, but your family members testify to an amazing woman, a woman of love and giving. Even during an alarm, you tried to help your beloved husband Sergei and save him. On behalf of all the residents of Rehovot, I would like to share in the family's grief. May your memory be blessed."

Minister Shikli, who attended the event, said: "Inge did not live to say goodbye to the world by nature, she was murdered by despicable terrorists who deliberately chose to direct their fire at civilian population centers with indiscriminate fire, the complete opposite of the way of the State of Israel and the way of the Israel Defense Forces. The path of the terrorists, the wretched murderers, will not succeed. We will never bow our heads in the face of evil. The eternity of Israel will not lie and we will never surrender to it. Your soul will be bound in the bundle of life."
