Three times a day, six times a week: Starting next month, direct flights will begin operating from Haifa Airport to Larnaca and Paphos in Cyprus.
The flights will be carried out by small aircraft (Bombardier Dash 8) of a Cypriot airline, on planes with only 39 seats. By comparison, Dreamliners have just under 300 seats and narrow-body planes like the Boeing 737 and Airbus 320 have about 160 seats.

Prices for packages that included hotel and round-trip flights will start from $399, with a flight alone costing about $299. The flight to Cyprus will take a little less than an hour, and it will be possible to arrive at the airport about an hour and a half before the flight, as these are the only international flights operated from Haifa, which means that no queues are expected.
Direct flights are expected to start from June 22 and continue until after the High Holidays, due to the high demand for vacations in various destinations in the country. The company that will market the flight will be ISSTA in cooperation with Israir.
The news for residents of the north comes on several levels, since the long lines expected at Ben Gurion Airport will be spared them, the trip to the center of the country will be shortened – and of course the current price is considered relatively attractive, although it is estimated that we will see higher prices during the requested summer months.
