The information revealed early Monday morning by the Washington Post, immediately picked up by the media around the world, had the effect of a small bombshell by sending a shiver through Russian observers. Because the accusation against Yevgeny Prigogine, the sulphurous representative and co-founder of the paramilitary group Wagner, is potentially extremely serious. Here he is suspected of treason, no more and no less.
According to confidential Pentagon documents from the huge leak (the "Discord Leaks") that began last April and which continue to be studied, Prigogine would have first maintained since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine close contacts with the Ukrainian military intelligence, the HUR.
