Kiel - After four years, Herbert Grönemeyer is back on tour for the first time. At the musically inspiring official start of his "That's going on Tour 2023", the audience celebrated the 67-year-old frenetically on Tuesday evening in Kiel. In the Wunderino Arena, the musician not only performed old successful titles, but also many songs from his new, 17th studio album "Das ist los", including the piano ballad "Tau", but also "Angstfrei".
Grönemeyer and his band exuded a desire for music. The musician visibly enjoyed the evening. Thousands of fans swayed along to the song "Herzhaft". But also Grönemeyer's hits "Men", "Mambo" or "Airplanes in the Belly" thrilled the approximately 9000 people in the sold-out arena. "People" and "Time for something to turn" were also not to be missed. On Friday evening, the musician had already put on a warm-up performance with his band in Bremen.
Grönemeyer had to cancel his anniversary tour "20 Years of Man" last year due to corona. At the start of the tour, the musician exuded pure joy to finally be back on stage ("We give everything!"). After three encores and a total of two hours and 45 minutes, the tour kick-off finally came to an end in front of an enraptured audience with the song "Immerfort".
According to the organizers, several concerts of the tour are already sold out. A further ten indoor concerts and five open-air performances are planned until 9 June. Most concerts take place in May. The next performances are on Thursday (18 May) in Hamburg and on Friday (19 May) in Dortmund. The tour finale is on June 9 at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen. Dpa
