What do I do if my clothes shrink in the wash? (System not to be missed)
Are the clothes faded? No laundry transmits the smell anymore? Before you throw away your used clothes and buy new ones, try to remember for a moment: when did you buy them? A cleaning expert claims that our laundry mistakes cause us to renew our clothes more often than we really need – and that there are several methods that will help extend the life of the fabric.
Lifestyle guru Shabona shared a short video on TikTok in which she revealed her tips. She says in the video: "Three things you need to do to make your clothes last longer." First, she says there's an essential action you need to do before putting your clothes in the washing machine — something that will help keep fibers stronger. She said: "Flip your clothes inside out when you wash them, especially jeans and clothes with printed designs."
Her second tip is to wash your clothes less, as she says you can wear most shirts and pants between two and four times without washing. She claims that the multiple washes only ruin the garment and adds that the dryer doesn't really help either – so it's best to just hang it to air dry. "I don't know where the thought came from that we can only wear our clothes once. On average, you can wear your shirts and pants two to four times before they need to be washed." She recommends hanging the clothes to dry and notes the added bonus of reducing the operation of the dryer and washing machine - saving electricity. She concludes: "Wash your clothes less and hang them to dry."

Chabona's final tip is to buy higher-quality clothes, but that doesn't mean you have to spend a fortune on them. So yes, higher quality clothes often cost more than cheap clothes – but they last longer and will prevent you from having to spend money on new clothes so early. "One of the reasons I'm economical is because it's much more cost-effective to choose higher-quality brands and fabrics that will last longer than fast fashion."
Chabone's video received thousands of views and people applauded her in the comments. However, there were some who found it difficult to accept her claim of wearing a shirt more than once without laundry. "I wish I could wear things more than once. It's not for me," one wrote, while another added: "In the current climate, there's no way I'll wear the same shirt twice."
