In the table of the large cities Modiin, Ra'anana and Kfar Saba lead in the percentage of recruits • But it is precisely in the examination of the exhaustion of combat among recruits that surprising results were revealed • And which city leads in the percentage of officers?

As every year, the IDF unveils the League of Cities, an index that weighs the number of IDF recruits among those born in 2001, their rate of becoming officers and their significant service.

Similar to previous years, cities such as Modi'in Maccabim Reut, Ness Ziona and Givat Shmuel star at the top of the tables. The IDF notes that this proves that from cities with high socioeconomic clusters, young people enlist in the army at high rates.

According to the measurement system, cities and councils were divided into three groups: large towns with more than 500 18-year-olds with potential for recruitment, medium-sized towns with 250 to 500 recruitable persons, and small cities with 100 to 250 recruitable persons. 50% of the grade was given to the percentage of those who enlist in the army, 25% to the rate of those who become officers, and 25% to the rate of those who enlist in combat.

In first place, in the weighted ranking of the 23 largest cities among men, is Modiin, as every year. It is immediately followed by Raanana and Kfar Saba. In the recruitment of women, Modiin is also in first place, and Herzliya and Ramat Gan came in second and third place, respectively.

Tel Aviv, on the other hand, ranks only 13th out of the 23 largest cities. The IDF emphasizes that although the recruitment rate in Tel Aviv is higher than the national average, as is the rate of those who leave for officers, it is precisely in the combat index that only 45% of recruits from Tel Aviv are assigned to combat positions, lower than the national average of 51.4%. The IDF also noted that in north Tel Aviv, recruitment to the IDF stands at 82%, compared to 68% nationwide.

When weighing medium-sized cities among men, Ness Ziona is at the top, followed immediately by Kiryat Ono and Hod Hasharon. In recruiting women, Ness Ziona also leads, with Hod Hasharon and Ramat Hasharon in second and third place respectively. Givat Shmuel is the small city that ranks highest in weighting among men, followed immediately by Yehud and Kfar Yona. Among women, Kiryat Ono came in first place, followed by Kfar Yona and Yokneam Illit.

In the index of combat among men, Jerusalem is in first place, with 58.8% combat exhaustion, followed by Beit Shemesh and Modi'in. In the percentage of female officers, intelligence leads with 13.4% among men and 14.5% among women.

Hevel Yavne Regional Council is the leader in the index of regional councils among men, followed immediately by Yoav Regional Council and Lev Hasharon Regional Council. In recruiting women, the Upper Galilee Regional Council is actually leading. Shoham is the leading local council among men, and among women it is Tel Mond.

The IDF noted that recently the army has reduced by about 50% the number of combat profile holders who reach technological units, and this is expected to be reflected in data for the coming years. As expected, the army avoids providing numerical answers regarding the motivation of youth for enlistment in general and combat recruitment in particular, but claim that there is no dramatic change in the data.
