The parliamentary calendar is facetious. While the government is under the threat of a perilous vote on pensions on 8th June, it is due to record a large victory on the military programming law (LPM) the day before. There is still a week of discussion, but the most optimistic dream of a vote without a vote against, the reservations translating into simple abstentions.
We are not there yet. Anxious to extract concessions or budget extensions, and not to give a blank check to the Macronist government, the opposition groups are careful not to reveal their final position. As for Sébastien Lecornu, he is too cunning to sell the skin of the bear before the end of the debates. But if the word "constructive" has any meaning, it applies to the parliamentary discussion of this LPM. This has to do with the subject, the personality of the elected deputies and the personal commitment of the Minister of the Armed Forces.
