"I would like to be shown a study that proves that productivity drops after 50 years!" Frédérique Jeske is a fifty-year-old woman in her fifties. At the head of her association Senior4Good, she seeks to fight against the stereotypes of which seniors in companies are victims. Among them, the idea that, after a certain age, these workers would not be able to maintain the same efficiency. If this can indeed be true on a case-by-case basis, "we have never observed a sudden decline across the board," says Benoît Serre, vice-president of the National Association of HRDs (ANDRH).
For a long time, the solution had a name: early retirement. Often with their consent, employees with only a few years left in their working lives were pushed out on advantageous financial terms.
