The fire that broke out on the night of Monday to Tuesday in a building in Sannois made a victim: a 59-year-old woman who was found dead in the rubble of her home.
It was around 23:30 p.m. on Monday when the alert was given for a disaster that had broken out a few minutes earlier on the ground floor. Important help was dispatched to the scene, at 5, rue Pierre-Paul Rétali. By the time firefighters arrived, many residents of the five-storey building had already evacuated. About fifty people were outside.
The victim found near his sofa
The emergency services deployed two water hoses to attack the fire, managing to control the disaster and prevent any spread to the upper floors. During reconnaissance carried out inside the apartment on the ground floor once the fire was extinguished, the emergency services unfortunately discovered the charred body of a victim, on the floor, near his sofa, in an apartment totally destroyed. The rescue intervention mobilized 23 firefighters and five machines. It lasted nearly four hours.

The police took charge of the rest of the intervention to determine the circumstances of the death as part of their investigation. According to initial evidence, the victim is a 59-year-old woman. The fire would find its point of origin at the level of the sofa. The origin of the fire was not determined, however. As part of the investigations, the accommodation was placed under seal by police officers.
