How many times have you found yourself provoked by filming a gorgeous dish on social media or traveling miles across the country to visit an intriguing culinary place? So that's it, this time we did the work for you. We popped into Ashdod to check what's new and what's delicious at the "Peoples and Flavors" festival that began yesterday (Wednesday) and continues to take place today (Thursday) off the Mediterranean coast in Ashdod's Gan Elisheva Park for the fifth time.

Over 50 restaurants, cafes, bars and pastry shops joined forces with Ashdod Tourism and David Kichka, the event's culinary director, to create a worthwhile festival. How lucrative? Admission is free, and each dish is sold for only 15 NIS.
Those who come will find a huge variety of dishes from different cuisines around the world and chef's kitchens - all creative, original and surprising in their flavors. You can find fish patties in sauce and grilled fish kebabs, polenta with mushroom-parmesan and sweet potato polenta on a bed of yogurt, arancini, dim sum, fish cigar, samsa, bakhsh, deconstructed veal croissant, risotto, fish and chips, Bukhari kebabs, knafeh and much more.
Among the dozens of participating restaurants: Pescado, Kira, Alma, Barberini, Raijona, Matilda, Toro Sushi, Namaste, Porto, Mordosha, I LOVE EAT, Butera, Ze, Holland Fries Sunset, Puzzle, Yigal Dagim, Fishenzon, Jano Ba'ir, Gigi, Jerusalem and more.
