A delegation of Open AI executives, led by American-Jewish CEO Sam Altman, arrived in Israel for a visit that began today (Sunday) with a professional meeting between the Minister of Education and his team and the senior staff of Open AI, at Masterschool's offices in Tel Aviv.

The meeting dealt with artificial intelligence and the future of employment and education in the age of AI. The purpose of the meeting was to examine how to create a positive impact through AI technology on the field of education. Master School is a digital education platform whose vision is to establish the largest network of digital schools in the world.

The Minister of Education was interested in the effects of the AI revolution on the field of education, knowing that the future field of employment is expected to undergo a significant change due to the development of artificial intelligence and to make many professions that exist today redundant. This meeting at MasterSchool's offices in Tel Aviv was attended by demonstrators opposed to the legal reform.

In addition, Israel Hayom learned that this evening the senior team of Open AI met at the offices of Dream, which is developing the next generation of defensive cyber using AI, with 12 of the largest high-tech entrepreneurs in Israel and later dined at Claro restaurant in Tel Aviv. Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, which is developing by leaps and bounds, is becoming one of the hot topics not only in the discourse in the offices of high-tech companies, but also a topic that is beginning to gain momentum among leaders around the world. The understanding that countries, organizations and entities of various types that know how to use technology and develop it to their advantage will be a step ahead of their counterparts. In recent months, the State of Israel has also entered the issue and is examining the possibilities of how the technology can be used for various uses, first and foremost for the education system.

On the high-tech side, the person leading the move is Dubi Frances, an American-Israeli venture capital investor and founder and owner of Group 11 and one of Israel's top venture capitalists. A few weeks ago, Frances was seen walking out with businessmen from a meeting with the prime minister, and it was later reported that the meeting dealt with AI.

Frances is leading a process of learning and introducing technology to Israel, and as part of this, today (Sunday) convened senior Israeli high-tech executives for a series of meetings with the people of Open AI, one of the world's leading companies.

About ten CEOs of high-tech companies and businessmen in order to discuss how this technology should be used and how to promote high-tech in Israel through it.
Frances told Israel Hayom: "The meetings of AI's senior team were attended by Israeli entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs who represent the largest unicorns in Israel, with an aggregate value of over $50 billion.

During the meetings we discussed the future of education, the future of the world of employment and the future of Israeli high-tech. What interests and motivates me is the question of how to promote high-tech in Israel through collaborations like these, and I very much hope that in the future we will be able to continue to bring strong companies like Open AI to Israel, which will continue to invest in the Israeli ecosystem for the glory of the entire State of Israel."

Later this week, Altman and his team are expected to meet with a number of high-tech companies as guests of Microsoft Israel's R&D center. Open AI is a pioneer in artificial intelligence, and Altman's visit has considerable business potential for dozens of Israeli technology companies active in this field. In Israel, it is believed that Altman expresses interest in business activity in Israel and may even make investments or acquisitions.

Altman's visit to Israel is part of a world tour on artificial intelligence, during which he met, among other things, with Education Minister Yoav Kisch and Israel's largest high-tech entrepreneurs. Later this week, Altman is expected to meet with Israeli President Isaac Herzog.

Altman, however, avoided a meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The Prime Minister's Office said that "there was no official request from the Prime Minister's Office for a meeting with Sam Altman." However, sources in the high-tech industry told Israel Hayom that attempts were made to arrange a meeting with Altman, but this was not helped by Altman's desire not to get into the political controversy surrounding the legal reform, since the purpose of his visit is business and technological.
