Parental violence against education staff again: A father of a student attacked the principal and her deputy at the Ariel Sharon school in Rishon LeZion on Sunday. Classes are expected to open at 09 a.m. after staff hold a protest meeting in the first hour.
It is suspected that one of the fathers asked to meet with the school administration regarding the conduct during the annual trip. The meeting was coordinated with the deputy principal. However, he arrived at the meeting accompanied by another mother, which was not coordinated in advance with the management team.

The father entered the secretariat and began screaming and attacking the deputy who was present, then, while chasing the deputy, he also burst into the teachers' room in front of a large crowd and later also into the counselor's room while there was a committee about another student with the participation of the school principal.
Despite the security guard and staff's attempts to calm him down, he continued to attack and shout, and only left the school grounds after many minutes.
The deputy principal felt threatened and hid in the library until the father left the school grounds.
Hagit Bar, Chairman of the Rishon LeZion branch of the Israel Teachers Union: "It is inconceivable that a teacher should feel threatened for his life in the framework of his work. We will use all the means at our disposal to eradicate the scourge of violence against teaching staff who do holy work. As an act of protest, the team will convene tomorrow morning for an informational meeting where we will discuss the case."
