Tensions have been at a high since the attack at the gas station near Ali in Judea and Samaria. During the night (between Tuesday and Wednesday) a number of demonstrations were held by Israelis at major junctions in Judea and Samaria, while Palestinians threw stones throughout Judea and Samaria and tried to harm Israelis.
A resident of Kochav Hashachar who passed through the Alon Road, near the village, suddenly saw Palestinians attacking a shepherd near Givat Ahuvia, where two of the victims of the attack lived – Nachman Mordoff and Harel Massoud. Four Palestinians stopped their car near the young man and attacked him.

The resident unloaded from the car and managed to smuggle the Palestinians away. "There was a demonstration at the Kochav Hashachar junction, but this shepherd had nothing to do with anything. Just be in place with the flock. I'm lucky I got here, because otherwise I don't know what would have happened."
