Last night, police were deployed on the city's beaches, including day crews posing as beachgoers and observation teams in disguise. During the operation, the force detained four suspects (32, 36, 37, 38) foreign nationals from Eritrea living in Tel Aviv, who allegedly stole from visitors to the beach.

It is suspected that in one case, two of the suspects approached the bag of a girl sitting on a chair at Gordon Beach, one of the suspects sat down next to her and took 600 shekels from her bag, and the two fled and were arrested by the police.
In another incident, at Charles Clore Beach, two other suspects allegedly stole a cell phone from two girls sitting on the beach after one of the suspects secretly crawled to them and stole the device that was next to her among her belongings.
The stolen property was seized and the four suspects were arrested on suspicion of theft and conspiracy to commit a misdemeanor, and transferred to the Lev Tel Aviv police station for interrogation.
