A forty-year-old was indicted and imprisoned Friday in Roanne (Loire) for "rape of a minor, possession of child pornography images and use of prostitution" after the discovery at home of a 14-year-old girl he was paying for sexual intercourse, said the city prosecutor's office.
Aged 45, the man was arrested Wednesday in Commelle-Vernay (Loire) and then placed in custody as part of an investigation for possession of child pornography images.
Hundreds of child pornography photos
During a search of his home, the gendarmes discovered, in addition to hundreds of photos featuring children, a runaway teenager who had been having paid sex with the suspect for several months, said AFP the prosecutor of the Republic, Abdelkrim Grini, confirming information from the newspaper "Le Pays Roannais".
The latter, whom he had met through the internet, was filmed without his knowledge by cameras installed by the suspect, according to the same source. The forty-year-old, prosecuted on this point for "invasion of privacy by capturing an image of a sexual nature", was imprisoned in La Talaudière (Loire).
