Mi-Ran Menkes in an interview with the excavator | Israel Hayom Editorial Board
Mi-Ren Menkes, a former international model, dives into her childhood in an interview. "I was an introverted, quiet, insecure child, I never felt pretty."
With rare candor, Menkes talks about the boycott she endured in her youth. "There was another glorious boycott on me," she recalls, "I would lie to myself that it didn't move me and inside I was done with it." Menkes talked about the yoga that kept her mentally stable throughout her life and about yoga retreats that she now publishes around the world.
On choosing to be an international model and her experiences, Menkes says: "I flew for the profits, but the price is heavy." When asked about the modeling industry, she admitted, "It's a very exploitative industry and the harassment doesn't happen in front of 15 people, but one-on-one."
