Central protest activist Itzik Medina was questioned again by the police on Wednesday on suspicion of assaulting a Channel 14 reporter three months ago. Two days ago, Medina was arrested after concerns arose that he was planning a violent act.
Medina's current arrest comes after a Channel 14 reporter identified him as the person who attacked her at a demonstration in Kaplan three months ago. Her complaint to the police led to his arrest.

Medina was taken in for questioning on Monday following intelligence that he intended to harm public figures. After learning of his arrest, many protesters went to the Petah Tikva police station where he was interrogated. He was released a short time later. "That's not true. I'm not threatening anyone and I'm not going to hurt anyone," he said at the time.
