The doctor who treated Benjamin Netanyahu during his hospitalization last week, Prof. Amit Segev, posted on Facebook on Saturday attacking the government's policy and calling on the prime minister to stop the legislation.
"Prime Minister Netanyahu, come to your senses and understand what the right side of the map is. Immediately stop the hatred and incitement and immediately stop the legislation," Segev wrote.
"I'll tell you a secret, I had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Netanyahu in his office and conveyed to him the feeling and pain of a significant and important part of the nation. I had a feeling that something had entered his heart but his speech on Thursday night caused me great disappointment. He continues his own and his amok run that I don't understand at all, and I still naively believe that when he's with himself, in bed, a few minutes before he falls asleep and goes to bed, his heart churns on him!" He concluded by saying: "The picture of the march to Jerusalem is no less than historic, on the level of the French Revolution! And the situation summs it all up."

Segev wrote in the post: "1,000 pilots and air force personnel volunteering for reserve duty, most of them over the age of 55 and even 60, have informed the government that they are ceasing their volunteering. This is not the refusal of soldiers or officers in regular or active reserve service. The other side calls them by different names, and it's better not to repeat the derogatory words from delusional figures like Amsalem, Karai, Gottlieb and Distal."
According to him, the army tends to refer to various situations as "the event"... So this event is unlike anything else in the history of the State of Israel. There has never been love here between groups that think differently politically. The IDF, the Shin Bet and the Mossad never thought of violating or disobeying this or that government, no matter what spectrum of the political map, the government."
