Highlights: If all goes according to plan, El Al will begin operating flights to Melbourne as early as April. Ticket sales to the destination have not yet begun, which means that ticket sales will not begin in the near future. The third flight, if all permits are obtained, will begin in preparation for cherry blossoms, around March to April. El Al is also considering adding flights to the capital of Ireland, which is also a popular destination for tourists looking for a less-stressful flight to Australia.

If all goes according to plan, EL AL will begin operating its flights to Melbourne as early as this April • Ticket sales are expected to begin only in the coming months • And, in light of the success: an additional flight will be added to the direct route to Tokyo

Initial publication: A few months after signing a memorandum of understanding to operate direct flights from Israel to Melbourne, Australia, Israel Hayom has learned that if everything goes according to plan, as early as this April, in a little less than a year, El Al will begin operating direct flights to the remote destination.

Ticket sales to the destination have not yet begun, as this usually happens a few months before the start of operation of the line, which means that ticket sales will not begin in the near future, but only in the coming months.

Meanwhile, in light of the success of the new route of the Israeli airline to Tokyo, the airline is expected to add an additional flight to the capital of Japan – instead of two flights, as there are today. The third flight, if all permits are obtained, will begin in preparation for cherry blossoms, around March to April.

Dublin is also considered a successful destination, and El Al is considering adding flights to the capital of Ireland, which has recently been discovered by Israeli tourists looking for less hot destinations during the summer.
