First cracks in the Likud

Is this the beginning of an internal revolt in the Likud? MK Eli Dellal announced yesterday that henceforth he would not lend his hand to a unilateral move by the coalition. MK Yuli Edelstein also issued a similar statement. Last Wednesday, it was MK David Bitan who attacked his Likud colleagues over the continuation of the legal reform legislation: "In the next stages, we will intervene," he warned.

Earlier this week, MK Avi Dichter did not declare that he would oppose the continuation of the legislation, but warned against "thugs who endanger the state with extreme legislation."

Biden: "We may be on the way to a deal with Saudi Arabia"

U.S. President Joe Biden said Wednesday night that there may be an agreement between Israel and Saudi Arabia, but did not provide details beyond that. Biden made the statement during a fundraising conference.

Last Thursday, White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan visited Riyadh to examine the possibility of completing a tripartite deal between Israel, the United States and the kingdom that would include normalization, security assistance to Saudi Arabia, and a change in Israeli policy on the Palestinian issue.
