Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah spoke on Saturday marking the end of the Ashura era in a speech broadcast to his followers at a conference in Beirut. In his speech, he warned Israel against "any act of stupidity or any options. The resistance will never abandon any of its responsibilities – neither in deterrence nor in liberation."
"The resistance will be ready for any option and will not remain silent about any stupid act," Nasrallah stressed, "Israel is the one that penetrates the airspace and continues to occupy the land. Israel is still occupying part of our land and it has returned to occupy part of Rajar (referring to the construction of a fence in the northern village of Rajar in the Lebanese part) and it speaks brazenly of provocations."

Against the backdrop of Israel's political-legislative crisis, Hezbollah's secretary general recently claimed that it is in the worst situation it has been in since its establishment. In recent weeks, the organization has set up a post over the Blue Line and has since refused to evacuate it despite international mediation efforts. Hezbollah insists that Israel evacuate the fence in Reger and that it must withdraw at the other points of dispute along the border. According to the Reuters news agency, Hezbollah, Hamas and Iran recently held talks on how to respond to the crisis in Israel, and it was decided to take advantage of this opportunity in the future.

At the same time, Nasrallah referred to permits given to burn Korans in Sweden and Denmark. "The governments of Sweden and Denmark and the entire world must understand that we are a nation that will not bear harm to its symbols - neither the Prophet nor the Koran. If there is a nation that doesn't care when its symbols are damaged, then the nation of two billion Muslims is not," the Hezbollah leader said.
