Night was barely falling when the emergency services intervened this Saturday evening in Sarcelles, near the Vignes Blanches neighborhood house. Shortly after 22 p.m., they took charge of an 18-year-old man wounded by a firearm, allée Albert Roussel. Hit in the legs by what appears to be lead shots, the victim was transported to the hospital of Pontoise in absolute emergency. An investigation was opened by the Pontoise prosecutor's office. This is entrusted to the police officers of the police station of the city, located less than 700 m from the place of the facts. No arrests had taken place this Sunday noon.
If the investigations are ongoing, it would seem, however, that the track of inter-neighborhood violence is privileged. This incident comes in a context of strong tensions between the César-Frank district of Sarcelles and that of the Pink City of Pierrefitte, a neighboring city located in Seine-Saint-Denis. A rivalry between gangs recurrent for a long time but which, according to a police source, would have taken in intensity since the beginning of the summer with the involvement of more and more firearms. Shots had already been reported in July.
A phenomenon that is not unique to Sarcelles. Many municipalities in Île-de-France are regularly affected by violence of this type. This was particularly the case in recent months in Garges-lès-Gonesse, a nearby town, where the situation nevertheless seems to have calmed down somewhat for the moment, the actors on the ground remaining very cautious about this lull. Essonne is not spared either. Corbeil-Essonnes, Draveil, Fleury-Mérogis or Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois are also concerned, to the point of having to call on experts in the field.
