A 73-year-old Israeli woman was killed on Wednesday during a hike in Plitvice Falls, Croatia. The trip took place in the Lake District, where she fell from a great height and was killed instantly.

The Israeli Consulate in Zagreb, Hadas Dolev, is on her way to the site of the disaster to meet the family and help. The Department for Israelis Abroad in the Consular Section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs assists in the process of transferring the deceased for burial in Israel.

It was the third accident this month in which an Israeli civilian was killed, and comes about a week after Israel Avraham Moshe Rabinowitz, a 30-year-old ultra-Orthodox Israeli, was killed in a parachuting accident in the Swiss Alps, and Stas Davidov, a 55-year-old Israeli, who was killed while hiking with friends on Mont Blanc in France after falling from a great height.

Davidov was evacuated by rescue helicopter for medical treatment but was pronounced dead at the hospital. Davidov lived in Ariel and worked as director of the municipality's Department of Environmental Protection. He is survived by his wife, son and 3-month-old grandson.

Earlier this month, there were additional accidents that claimed the lives of Israeli citizens abroad. Two Israelis were involved in a serious ATV accident over the weekend in Canada. The accident killed Reuven Landau, 18, from Nofim
