Highlights: The role of the teacher will change as will that of the learner. GenAI enables a change in learning space and time, i.e. a type of flipped learning. ChatGPT, for example, will create an innovative combination through writing analysis, text comparisons and other actions that will enable learners to delve deeper into the content being studied. The interplay between existing methodologies and the new will develop a new pedagogical work, and we must prepare for it without delay.

The role of the teacher will change as will that of the learner. GenAI-driven teaching will change learning, and GenAI-driven learning will impact teaching. We must prepare for this

Technological advances are redefining boundaries every day, even in the field of education and learning. The November 30, 2022 revolution - the introduction of creative artificial intelligence (GenAI) into our lives - with ChatGPT made accessible to everyone, marks an unprecedented change in the world of learning.

We are on the verge of a dramatic pedagogical change, challenging traditional methods and calling us to a new journey of teaching and learning. The role of the teacher will change, as will that of the learner. GenAI-driven teaching will change learning, and GenAI-driven learning will impact teaching. The interplay between existing methodologies and the new will develop a new pedagogical work, and we must prepare for it without delay.

We live in a world of VUCA Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity (Volatility). Uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity are key features. Knowledge, which is becoming more complex and rapidly changing, requires flexibility and agility to keep up with change. GenAI makes it possible to learn faster and tackle ambiguous and complex problems, which is good news.

To create and contain change, we need to connect human intelligence and artificial intelligence, or simply HI and AI. This is not a total change, but an understanding and the ability to develop a relationship between the two.

How do we do it? Three old-new roles are now emerging in teaching in the GenAI era: fostering critical thinking, essential in an age of fake news, information overflow, and the "hallucinations" of GenAI tools; The beacon of ethics - what is fair and proper use and how to create full transparency; and guidance and guidance for learners in acquiring the skills and abilities required today for their careers and the changing labor market.

Studies on the learning brain have shown that a continuum of learning over time, in small doses, develops deeper understanding than "compressed" learning. GenAI enables a change in learning space and time, i.e. a type of flipped learning and the creation of a quality learning continuum. As a facilitator, he provides real-time feedback and a partner in thinking, thus increasing the quality time of meaningful learning regardless of physical space and formal time. In addition, GenAI enables the development of metacognitive processes essential for in-depth understanding of concepts and ideas and for solving complex problems and decision making. ChatGPT, for example, in dialogue with the learner, will create an innovative combination through writing analysis, text comparisons and other actions that will enable learners to delve deeper into the content being studied, and for teachers to focus on discourse and discussion that create metacognition and understanding of complexities.

A continuum of learning in time and space and continuous, qualitative metacognitive processes will develop a new level of awareness of learning, context, attention and engagement. They will foster lifelong learning habits and time management, multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary relationships, teamwork and improved communication skills, and increase motivation for learning and self-confidence.

The GenAI will be a multi-role "mentor": opening new directions of learning; planning and managing learning (time and space); a research assistant who offers additional topics or diverse sources of information; an ethics consultant for online digital behavior, professional conduct, and cultural and social sensitivity; a language teacher who helps build vocabulary, correct grammar and conversational practice; designs simulations that include scenarios for problem solving and decision making; a career consultant analyzing market trends and data; a wellbeing counselor integrated with human counseling (HI); and a crisis management consultant who provides immediate guidance in emergency situations. And all this - according to the abilities, inclinations and skills of each learner. This is an opportunity to advance learning and make it more effective, more participatory and more democratic.
