Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter is getting into trouble. On Monday, a third woman filed a lawsuit against him over a series of sexual assaults that allegedly occurred in 2003, when she was just 15 years old. The lawsuit, filed in a Las Vegas court, said the incidents occurred several times — on a private yacht and on the band's tour bus — after Carter, then 23, watered the unnamed complainant with alcohol and forced himself on her.

In the two days since the lawsuit was filed, the 43-year-old musician has responded through his lawyer, Dale Hayes. The bottom line: Carter denies the allegations against him and claims that they are completely false. In addition, Hayes told TMZ that the new complainant had already accused his client of assault two decades ago, but law enforcement found Carter not guilty and decided to close the case. "Just because the complainant decided to repeat her false accusations in a new complaint does not mean that they are true. My client looks forward to presenting his evidence and exposing the truth about these malicious schemes."

However, it's hard to ignore the fact that Nick Carter's past is rife with similar accusations, and that the new complainant is actually thethirdwoman to allege that the revered star assaulted her. Last year, a woman named Shannon Roth alleged that Carter performed sexual acts on her against her will after a 2001 Backstreet Boys concert in Tacoma, Washington, while singer Melissa Schuman (formerly of the girl group Dream) filed a lawsuit against Carter last April over a sexual assault case that allegedly occurred in 2003. All the accusations are vehemently denied by the star, and are defined by him as PR stunts and blackmail attempts.
